Cabin in the Woods
Updated: Jul 17, 2019
So your friends invite you to a cabin in the woods...Do you dare go along? Of course you do! especially if the weekend will involve visits to the local ice cream shop, long hours trying to finish one round of Uno, sharing funny memes in silence, a hike through the Olympic National Forest, and watching movies together while Catherine falls asleep on the couch (we've all been there).
We spent a weekend in June at a Cabin that Austin's family owns near Hoodsport, WA. It was a great way to get some quiet time, as there isn't any cell service out there. My favorite part of the weekend was going on a hike through the Olympic National Forest. You should all know that I am a huge fan of anything mossy, and let me tell you, we were surrounded by moss through pretty much the entire hike! We were also able to see a lot of man-made bridges that looked almost as if they had grown into the forest. They were very natural looking and Colin really enjoyed those. Overall it was a beautiful hike, even if we spent a sizable portion of it losing the trail and trying to figure out which way to go. We aren't experts here, people.
Long story short, a weekend at the cabin with close friends is a blast. We can't wait to do it again soon!
